Entries are now open to register for the outstanding 2019/20 Windsor Trophy which has yet to be completed...

Closing date Sunday 22nd August.

First matches to commence Wednesday 25th August.

Firstly, a big thank you to those clubs who have already paid the fees for the forthcoming 2021/22 season.
A deadline for payment has NEVER been set before now, just an invitation to pay, plus allowing us to simply carry over payments to the forthcoming season, has also been very helpful - so thank you again!
THOSE CLUBS STILL TO PAY - Notification has now been sent to ALL clubs concerned.
Therefore I would ask ALL outstanding fees are now paid in full ASAP.
Please check you spam / junk folders for emails sent sometime this week from 25th July onwards.
The LBSO bank details are included in the email to pay by bank transfer, otherwise contact should be made with myself.

1. NOTIFICATION HAS BEEN SENT NOW, IN ORDER TO GIVE YOU AMPLE TIME TO PAY YOUR OUTSTANDING FEES.
2. BUT IF ANY FEES STILL TO PAY ARE NOT RECEIVED BY 8th SEPTEMBER 2021, THEN YOUR TEAM WILL NOT FORM A PART OF THE LEAGUE STRUCTURE FOR 2021/22.

The first ADT Flexibles Handicap qualifying day saw Barnbow Social's Shannon Metcalf and Harehills WMC's Ant Sumner battle through to the finals day from a field of 22.
The next chance to qualify is Sunday August 29th.

I have received an email from Matthew Cable captain of The Holbeck to say the club are taking out one of the snooker tables is there any club that could welcome the team and their players into their club in order for them to continue in our league. They would hope to stay in the same area but I am sure they would consider any offers. Please contact Matthew or myself if you are able to help.

I hope you are all well and are now seeing some signs of life as we once knew it we understand some players and their families/friends may have been affected more than others with events caused by the pandemic and our thoughts are with you all whatever your circumstances may be.

We are now in the best position regards restrictions having been lifted so we now turn our attentions to getting snooker back on track albeit with a slightly delayed start to the 2021/22/ season.

Our plan is to begin the new season 6 weeks after our usual start date, this delay gives all clubs extra time to be sure they are in the best trading position possible, so we will begin the new season week commencing Wednesday20th/Thursday 21st October 2021.

This would mean the league would finish Wednesday20th/Thursday 21st April 2022.

I would like to thank all teams who had already paid their fees for the cancelled 2019/21 season for allowing the monies to be retained by the LBSO. For those teams who are yet to pay the fees must be received by Wednesday 8th September 2021. There will be NO extension to this date. ​Any fees not paid by this date will miss the 2021/22 season and would then need to reapply for the following season subject to there being spaces available.

Bob Patterson will email the relevant captains in due course to remind the captains about payments that are outstanding.

If you have any player additions/removals from your respective teams please email me with the details and I will attend to them in order of their arrival.

I hope you are all looking forward to resuming snooker in the Leeds area it is something I believe we have all been missing, stay safe and well.

Following the recent easing of Covid restrictions all unfinished competitions have been re-opened.
Any players with outstanding matches are requested to contact their opponents asap.

Club contacts of the current holders of all LBSO league trophies were emailed yesterday, because they are now due for return.
I SHALL BE AT CROSSGATES REC HALL POPLAR AVENUE CROSSGATES LS15 FOR THE NEXT 3 WEDNESDAY's - 21st JULY (THIS WEDS), 28th JULY & 4th AUGUST FROM 8pm ONWARDS EACH TIME TO COLLECT THEM.
If this not possible, contact should be made with me, to arrange an alternative.
THE FINAL DEADLINE DATE FOR THE RETURN OF ALL TROPHIES WILL BE 11th AUGUST.
I realise this is not the customary way of doing this, but there is no other alternative this year, so I apologise in advance for any inconvenience, but as normal, it is still the responsibility of the holders to return the trophy they were presented with in 2019.
PLEASE DO NOT RETURN THE TROPHIES TO THE NSC THIS COMING SUNDAY FOR THE 1st 'TRIPLE CHANCE' QUALIFIER.

The much delayed Len Lee Invitation is now scheduled to be played at the NSC on Sunday 22nd August 10am Start. The 16 invited players will play down to 2 with the final played on a date TBC.

1/ ADT Flexibles "Triple Chance" singles handicap-£400 guaranteed prize money.

To be played over three qualifying Sundays (10 am start)- July 25th, Aug 29th and Sept 19th, with a total of 8 qualifiers returning to play down to a winner on Sunday Sept 26th. All matches best of 3 off LBSO handicaps.

£5 per entry, players may attempt to qualify multiple times.

There will be a plate competition on each qualifying Sunday for first match losers subject to a minimum of 32 entries.

2/ ADT Flexibles £200 prize money guaranteed Scratch competition.

Exclusive to LBSO registered players this will be played on Sun 26th Sept, 12 noon start. All matches best of 3.

It is with deep sadness we have to inform you of the passing of Ken Mc Kay.

Ken Passed away on the 23rd June, he played for Dennison Hall for many years, his team mates remember him for his tireless work he did for his club raising money to fund the snooker activities and they all remember him for his constant joke telling.

Ken will be sadly missed by all his friends on the snooker scene.

I would like to offer our condolences to his family and friends at this sad time from all of the LBSO committee.
