Horsforth B defeated Horsforth A 4-3 to win the Leeds Team Championship.
In the first round of frames Liam Thewlis (A) beat Scott Raper (B) on the black 54-48, Baz Frankland (A) had a 48 break in a 83-64 win over Mark Ball (B), and Lewis Walsh (A) had a 33 clearance in a 81-20 defeat of Mick Jensen (B) to put the A team in a commanding 3-0 lead.
In the next 3 frames the fortunes were reversed as Raper knocked in a 53 break to win 81-7, Mark Ball won a tight game on the black 51-50 and Mick Jensen made it 3-3 winning 51-41 on the pink.
In the decider it was Scott Raper against Baz Frankland and in a nervy frame it was Scott who ran out winner by 55-28 to give Horsforth B the title.

Harehills Labour's Danny Dean defeated Glen Cassidy 3-2, Tommy Doherty 3-1 and Ryan Walton 3-1 to reach the final of the Len Lee Invitation. There he will meet Belle Isle's Richard Binns who saw off Ian O'Brien 3-0, Bob Patterson 3-2 and Andy Blamire 3-0.
The winner will be the first person to get their name on the new trophy and will receive £200 in the process. Runner up receives £100.
The £25 high break prize was won by Tony Massey with a run of 64.
The best of 7 final will be on a date TBC.
This Sunday (Aug 22nd) the delayed Len Lee Invitation will be played at the NSC with a 10am Start. The 16 invited players will play down to 2 with the final played on a date TBC.
The much delayed Leeds U16 and U18 finals were finally completed on Mon 16th Aug.
In the best of 3 U16 final Riley Fisher faced twin brother Bailey Fisher, and it was Riley who started the better, a 28 break helping him to a 63-2 first frame win. Bailey hit back however, a 21 break gave him the 2nd frame 63-15 and a 20 break in the decider gave him a 60-14 win and the match 2-1.
Riley was in action again in the U18 final facing Stan Moody and it was Stan who ran out a comfortable 3-0 winner, breaks of 30,24,36,20 and 35 easing him to a 62-18,70-16,74-12 victory and the U18 title.

Stan Moody had the high break of 55 in the U18 qualifying competition whilst Samuel Lee-Stevens had the high break overall with a run of 73 in the U16 qualifiers.
Due to a late drop out of a team, I am looking for just one team to join our Thursday Snooker League, which is due to start on Thursday 16th September..
