Now that we have the last result in all the leagues are now complete.
Congratulations to all teams that have won their respective leagues, finished runners up or gained promotion this season.
Hard luck to any team that have been relegated this season I hope you can bounce back in the forthcoming season.
There will be 3 teams promoted in all leagues but it may not be the case that 3 are relegated.
Due to the numbers of clubs / teams we lost after we returned to snooker post pandemic we had a large number of byes across the leagues, this will be addressed for the new season, we will do our best to fill all the leagues with a full compliment of teams, this could mean capping the numbers of entries.
Could you all over the next few days discuss with your team members if you will be entering a team for the 2022/23 season.
I will give further details when we meet at The Holbeck club on Monday May 9th.
Please make sure your club is represented at the meeting and also at the follow up meeting for returning your registration forms with your fees in June it is very important that we have full attendance for both meetings as I mentioned above we may need to cap numbers, once we have filled our leagues we will not be able to add teams at a later date.
As we are all aware this season has been the LBSO's most challenging season in our history.
Thanks to all captains/IT delegates for all their hard work, thank you to all the clubs for hosting the games and a big thank you to all our players who have made the season a success.
I will be emailing all winners and runners up to ask what type of trophy they would like, over the last few seasons we have had many teams opting for a single trophy/cup that they can proudly display in their clubs, of course their is still the option to have individual trophies for their players.
If you read this message please feel free to email me with your choice.
Lastly for now a big thank you to my fellow committee members for all the hard work they have put in during this very challenging period.
Regards, Paul Grimes, LBSO League secretary.
